Who we are and what we do
Since 2021 we’ve been leading guests on our food tours around Manchester.
We’re a group of local food lovers on a mission to showcase our fantastic city through independent food and drink spots.
We absolutely love this city. Introducing our guests to hidden spots and showing them the real Manchester is what makes us tick. We can’t wait to show you around.

Meet the team

James
Our founder James could and will talk to you about Manchester for hours. He spends most of his time running the business and it’s him you’ll speak to on the phone or online if you have any questions. If you need any local recommendations just give him a shout. james@bitestours.com
Favourite place in Manchester: The Peveril of the Peak pub.
Julia
Julia has been living in the city since 2017. As well as leading our food tours she also has her own Graphic design business.
Her “deathrow” meal would be the pancakes from Koffee pot on Oldham street.
When she’s not working away you can normally find her exploring the aisles of Afflecks Palace or the Manchester Craft and Design centre.

Aisha
Aisha used to spend every weekend as a teenager in the city and knows pretty much every nook and cranny of the Northern Quarter. She’s a trained chef and has worked in hospitality since as far back as she can remember.
An interesting fact about Aisha is that she saves up her tip money and spends it on tatoos.
Olivia
Liv is just finishing her degree in TV and radio production at Salford Uni. As well as this she’s part of the leadership team for a dance society and has performed all across the city at various venues.
She’s a real natural as a tour guide and has plenty of stories about her weekends with friends growing up in the city.
When she’s not leading our tours, dancing, or making TV programmes Liv enjoys nothing more than a good pint of Guinness with her mates. O’Connells on Oxford road is her favourite spot.

Ian
When Ian isn’t driving Manchester United youth team players around, you can find him hosting our food tours in the city. Having spent most of his working life in Manchester there’s not much Ian doesn’t know about our town.
In his spare time you might find Ian fell running in the hills around Manchester, keeping fit and trying to break his personal best times.
Dexter
Dexter used to be our quality control officer until we realised that he will literally eat anything. Now he is in charge of company morale and spends most of his time sleeping under the desk or sniffing out any snacks.
His favourite meal is everything and he is partial to a small sip of Guinness every once in a while.
